In a historic win, the Pickens Dragons baseball team has secured their spot in the Elite 8 for the first time in school history. The Dragons triumphed over the Hebron Christian Lions with a decisive 10-0 victory in the third game of their best-of-three series at Dunn Field on Tuesday, April 30th.

The game saw standout performances from Dragons starter James Tilley, who managed to shut down the Lions with a series of strikeouts, and Connor Shouse, who delivered a crucial 3-RBI double in the second inning. The Dragons’ offense kept the pressure on, with players like Christian Starks and Trace Ledbetter adding to the score. This landmark victory sets the stage for the Dragons to face the Harlem Bulldogs in the next round, marking a significant achievement for Pickens High School’s baseball program.
