National, Atlanta Area Fuel Costs Decline Slightly

Over the past week, the national average cost of gas showed minimal movement, declining by two cents to $3.07 per gallon. According to AAA, this minor shift is attributed to unremarkable figures in both the cost of oil and gasoline demand. Georgia’s statewide average stands at $2.95 per gallon, reflecting a 3-cent decrease from last week, a 7-cent decrease from last month, and a 7-cent increase from last year.

Pump prices in Metro Atlanta mirror statewide trends, with the regional average also landing at $2.95 per gallon. This indicates a 3-cent decline from the previous week and a 13-cent drop from the preceding month.

  • Clayton County – $2.94 per gallon
  • Cobb County – $2.96 per gallon
  • DeKalb County – $2.94 per gallon
