As Halloween is right around the corner, a recent report named “The Spookiest Places in America” conducted by Vivint gave Georgia an overall score of 28.08, which placed it in the 9th place compared to other states in the nation. The key considerations going into the ranking included the number of ghost sightings and haunted places, haunted houses, and places that offer supernatural readings.

The top five most haunted states were California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio. Among them, California received a score of 97.45. It is ranked second in terms of ghost sightings but it is in first place with regard to the total number of haunted places. On the other hand, the least spooky states include Delaware, Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Montana.
