The highly anticipated Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade is set to light up the city this Saturday, May 11. Originating in 2010 by Chantelle Rytter and her Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, the event has grown into a major celebration, attracting over 10,000 participants and spectators annually.

The festivities begin with lantern-making workshops at Pittsburgh Yards at noon, followed by a special kids’ parade at 6 p.m. The main parade lineup starts at 7:45 p.m. at Adair Park, with the procession stepping off an hour later. The event will culminate in a vibrant finale jam session from 9:15 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lee + White development. With glowing lanterns, giant puppets, and live music from five marching bands, this year’s parade promises to be a spectacular display of creativity and community spirit.
